What is it?
The Spring Fever Social Ride is an unsupported ride on Saturday, March 28th on gravel and paved rural roads in Pueblo. Riders have two routes (13 and 31 miles) to explore. The ride will finish up with a potluck tailgate BBQ back at the start! Grassroots Gravel will have hot dogs, buns, some bevs, and encourages folks to bring something to share and enjoy some time together after their ride!
This ride requires (free) registration here and is at-your-own-risk on open roads.
Who:
To join the Spring Fever Social Ride, we suggest riders have prior experience riding at their chosen route distance self-supported or with a friend. We always encourage youth and family riding, and understand that the comfort level of different kids can be across the board. In general, we suggest participants are at least 10 years old with prior experience riding at least 12 miles. All youth must be accompanied by a guardian for the entire ride.
Schedule:
Saturday, March 28th (note options below!)
Flat Fixin’ Lesson: 8:30 - 9:30 am: Quick refresher of THE foundational roadside repair skill! Plus we’ll cover our recommended items to bring on every ride.
Get Ready To Roll: 9:30 - 10:00 am: Get ready to roll. This is when most folks will want to show up unless they’re looknig to join the flat fixing lesson. Time for everyone to get their bikes ready, helmets on, bottles filled, etc before they roll out on their chosen route
Riders Depart: 10:00 am: Riders depart. Riders head out on their chosen routes.
Potluck Tailgate BBQ: 12:00 - 2:00pm: Share food and stories with friends back at the start of the ride! Grassroots Gravel will have hot dogs, buns, and some basic bevs to share. Bring something to share if you can!
Will there be support?
There will not be support on the ride. This is an unsupported ride and is at your own risk. Riders are expected to navigate the route solo or with other attendees, follow all traffic laws, and use common sense while riding.
There will be FLOW Formulas hydration mix, some ride snacks, advice, flat-fixing lessons, and more at the start of the ride.

Where to meet:
READ THIS ENTIRE SECTION. Trust us. We will meet at the Pueblo County Recreation Center on Cooper Place, off of Roselawn Road in Pueblo. This location doesn’t play well with Google Maps or Apple Maps. You must approach Cooper Place from the North (Roselawn Road). Your maps may attempt to send you from the South, which is blocked by the Health Solutions campus which is a private facility.

We invite you to hang out and enjoy some food together back at the parking area after the ride. We’ll have hot dogs, buns, and some bevs to share. Bring something to share if you can (and let us know if you need to throw it in a cooler in the morning)! We will tailgate ~12pm-2pm.
